hello, was just wondering what sort of fuel cost- figures people are getting in the mk2 lexus rx300s?

just wondering what sort of fuel efficiency 2 expect. the car would be driven fully town driving. short 7 mile trips never really exceeding 50mph.thanks

As long as you live near a refinery, I am sure you'll be fine! :lol:

Mine is actually Mk1.......and on A&B road in traffic driving I get approx 20-21mpg.....on a long run up to 28mpg, I would hazard a guess and say for that short trip in town you'll be lucky to get more than 15mpg......look at the 400h instead...its what it was designed for!

Ah my mistake......when I first looked at buying an RX300 I investigated the LPG conversion market and costs...sort of glad I stayed with Petrol now! My local station has petrol at 83ppl and my nearest LPG station (8miles away) is now 59ppl......it would take me about 4 years to recover the cost of a conversion.......

I think the accepted norm for lpg is around 15-20% less mpg than petrol.
