Navigation And Camera Question :)

Hello,

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A few questions.

I have a problem with my rear view camera, when the car is in reverse, i get a message saying "camera malfunction".

Does anyone know what could be causing this?

Also,

I have a Lexus RX300 SE on an 04 plate, what is the latest version of the nav maps? Is it 8.1?

What generation is the car?

Am i able to watch DVD's?

What is the button in the fron next to the front reading lights? It's a car with a sort or radar symbol....

No idea what's up with your rear view camera but it sounds like something you might need to have your dealer check. For the nav map, if you type the code on your DVD into www.lexus-mapupdates.eu it will give you the most recent version and you can order it from there too.

I don't think you can watch DVDs on the 04 models, this came later, but check the front of the stereo - if it has a DVD logo on it then it does, if not then it's the earlier system.

That last button look interesting - could it be to switch parking sensors on or off?

There seems to be a microphone or speaker next to it. its wierd.

The number is this 86271-24123, but i can't see what the latest version is.

The main reason i want to upgrade the nav is that i drive to greece 3 times per year, and eastern europe would be a bonus.

I did,nt know some RXs came with front parking sensors

I think the button is to turn off the interior motion sensing system - e.g. for when leaving pets in the car...
