Need Advice For Nav Parts

I am in the middle of a carputer project.

I already have a satnav housing which is the smaller screen - older version.

Problem is that although my new touch screen (7") can by put in the housing, the upper part is not visible even if i cut all the plastic i can cut.

So i need the bigger version.

Here is a picture with the parts.

My question, if someone can enlighten me, is if i can only buy the No.6 part. Will everything else be ok?

I saw a lot of pictures and i think that it's probable. Even the No.2 part look exactly the same shape as mine.

If you are talking about the housing, mine is the older model. 5" i think.

The touch screen i want to put inside, is 7".

Problem is in height. No matter how plastic i cut, the upper portion of the 7" touch screen will not be visible.

The newer-bigger model housing has les curve in the upper section, thus more available visible height for the screen.

no ment what type of sat nav did you buy sony garmin talk talk? as the sony nu95 fits the old style housing with a little cutting.

As i said in the 1st post, its about a carputer (that is a PC in the car).

So, the only thing going in the housing, is the touch screen.

fair enuff,shame as did have the new style in my car but sold it

can can tell you now this will fit the 1 you have. i had just a flip up lid in mine with no sat nav. so ordered bits to change over to sat nav housing but i just have to lift it up instead of it running of the motor :)
