Harder Ride On Bigger Rims?

Recommended Posts

Thinking of changing my wheels on my 2000 LS400 from stock 16´to 17´. Will that effect on the soft ride? Have air susp.

you will definately feel the difference. ride will be a bit hard but not too bad coz u only going for 17"

also it will affect your fuel consumption slightly.

your only going from 16 to 17 so should be ok really depends on what size tyres you are going for.

Go for 225 55 17 or 235 50 17 tyres & you will keep a simular rolling radius, the handleing will be slightly better & you will loose a very small probably unnoticeable amount of ride comfort.

I have LS430 alloys fitted to my LS400 and to be honest I prefer the ride. It's slightly sharper and more positive without losing any ride quality.

Having said that I don't have air suspension so I'm not sure if this would make any difference.
