Stock Intake Vs Prolex Induction Kit.

Recommended Posts

So how easily did you fit the new filter on ? What did you need to do it, any kind of adaptor ?

Hi there,

the Apexi filter i bought came with a 3" bolt on flange...so all i needed was a 3" short piece of silicone hose and 2 jubilee clips to join the Apexi filter with flange to the prolex pipe work....i kept the silicone hose as short as possible so it looks good.

it sounds much better than the cheap prolex one that i got and it looks soooo much better!

here is a couple of pics of it....sorry for crap quality was with my Iphone.

Looks great........your right, the sucking noise as you blip the throttle is a real sweeeeeet sound.......over 4,000 revs it roars a bit, but you have to be outside the car to really appreciate that.

how much do these kits cost, ive been thinking of getting 1 for awile and guess they are woth getting after reading this post

The Prolex kit is here. Although you don't get the filter shown in the pic on the website, or the one shown in the pics on this thread, it's a cheaper one.

Aztec posted up some stuff about how to make your own induction kit for a lot less over in another thread.
