Gs300 Mk Iii Front Brakes

Hi there,

Just a quick question, I have had my 2006 GS300 for around 3 months now and since I have had it I get a strange creak from the front brakes. The front brakes seem to make creaking and cracking sounds when making slow manouvres while holding the car on the foot brake, for instance when easing the car into the garage.

The brakes are completely silent and powerful under normal driving but creak when parking and stopping.

Anyone else have this problem ? Is it a known problem with a known fix ?

Update !

The car has just been into Lexus Newcastle for new tyres and service campaign checks.

I asked them to look at the creaking front brakes problem. They removed the pads and cleaned the calipers while the wheels were off and this has fixed the problem. No parts and no charge even for the quick brake clean up. Full marks to Lexus Newcastle and I am a happy man with an even quieter car !
