Cruise Control

i miss the cruise control i had in my astra turbo, is there any way to fit cruise control into a is200,

is there any other models it could be taken from to be fitted

The Auto has it i think.

You can buy aftermarket cruise control setups.

Was something i was looking into doing one day.

Maybe a silly question but how does cruise control work with a manual gearbox. I know how it works on the auto box because I have one on the IS300 but how does a manual box manage on a hill climb for instance when a gear change is required.

It wont, if the the car starts to struggle you'd have to dis-engage and do it manually, its more aimed at motorway cruise IMHO.

Thanks for that. In my opinion then cruise control not much use on a manual unless you travel motorways at night because its very difficult to keep a steady speed on motorways when there is a lot of traffic about.

Could you put the cruise control on an auto into a manual? I've looked into the VW's, they are possible with not alot of effort involved. perhaps being japanese it might do too

Different main ECU mate, an i *think* the cruise controls built into it.
