Car Shuddering When Cold

my car sort of shudders when in setting off in 1st gear when the car is cold, anyone got any idea what the problem is and how i can fix it? also when the car is cold the power steering squeels a lot, is that normal?

and advice appreciated! thanks

As Steve said I think you are reffering to clutch judder which is common on the IS when cold. I'm not sure if it means your clutch is worn, but I do get it more often when cold or heavily loaded.

i only live 3 miles from work and it does it all the way, but any further than that and its fine, i can live with it but it is a bit annoying!

also i have a series of crescent shaped marks on my rear offside disc, it is rubbing a bit but don't know if caliper is binding or a warped disc?

hi , my clutch judders 1st thing aswell, i start the engine and pump the clutch pedal a couple of times that always seems to help, normally goes by the time i'm at the end of the road.
