Gear Change From 2nd To 3rd

dont know wether its just my car but does anyone notice that when changing from 2nd to 3rd it sometimes isnt smooth. as in it sorta jams but u let the pressure off and push agen and itll pop in. does that make sense? maybe the gearbox is getting on??? cheers

Change the gearbox oil, bet it hasn't been changed- this is the cheapest option.

If changing the gearbox oil does not make any difference, then you may need to change the clutch and/or flywheel.

gearbox oil is easy but best get it done at a garage as its easier. the problem is the gearbox but dont worry may many many people have the same problem with no adverse effects.

there is also a problem going into 2nd along with the familiar crunch.... in plain terms the gearbox is crap and not designed properly or poor components, the crunch and blocking are caused by the cones being worn. just make a slower gear change and it will be fine
