Error Code P0135

Hope someone can help, the engine management light recently came on and a P0135 error code was read with a OBDII scanner.

The code says "O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction (Bank 1 Sensor 1)"

I would be grateful if anyone could give me any advice on where this sensor is, how easy it is to replace and where is the best place to buy one from.

The o2 probe in the exhaust manifold is knackered mate, (cant remember if its front or back though)

Easy enough to remove, just unplug and screw out with a spanner.

i know bank 2 senor 2 is the one in the centre of the exhaust, there is a diagram floating about somewhere but i couldn't find it on my past threads, maybe we should look into getting this diagram somewhere so everyone can get to it easily.

The sensors are shown in these diagrams. Bank 1 Sensor 1 is the first diagram.

Hi there guys, sorry to bring up an old post but I have just got the same fault code(P0135) and was wondering if someone knew of a good place I can get a good quality but cheaper than Lexus replacement sensor?

Don't think it should be too hard to replace but if there are any good hints/tips then I would like to hear them as well. Preferably before I start pulling things off the engine :D

easy enough to take out, spanner to undo and refit and unplug the connector job done.

Thanks mattc, ordered it on the 10th and got it today(12th) :D

Next question is though, should I be using any special type of thread lock/lube type of thing as I'm sure it'll need something?
