In 1999, What Other Cars Had 6 In-dash Cd + Tape As Std?

I take it other Lexus models (LS and GS) must have but BMWs, Mercedes, Audis, etc didn't have them as standard. Even today BMWs I believe for instance have the multi disc changer in the boot which isn't as user friendly as having it in-dash???

But to have a 6 disc CD + tape (!) as standard must have been a WOW factor in 1999!

I don't think anyone did at the time, have to remember cars at that time were just starting to get single slot cd players..........

Except BMW though I think almost everyone now has an in dash CD changer don't they?

I don't think there would be many!

I find the tape deck a bonus, means you can se a tape adapter for the iPod, sound quality is excellent, better than an FM transmitter and cheaper.

even in 2009 i dont have a 6disc in dash changer in my lexus , all i have is a tape deck and a SMART err3 code LOL !
