Took my car to two garages today about the slow turning whilst braking = clunking.

Both said it was the steering rack bushes, when they turned the steering wheel, i saw the steering rack move quite a bit.

Ive look around, googled steering rack bushes and cant find a thing.

Any suggestions folks ?

Tommy

I think mine has that as a suggestive change on my lex after a service, but not looked into it for like 5 months and now i think i can feel more vibrations then usual on the gear/steering wheel when ever theres a bump, so i guess i'll have to get that sorted.

HiTommi

My IS200 just failed its MOT on the steering rack bushes. Did you manage to buy new parts, if so were did you get them?

thanks Sean
