Upgrade To Is250?

Recommended Posts

Hey Guys,

Well I've been drooling over the is250, and was thinking of upgrading from my lovely is200 sport.

Was wondering what others thoughts on the Iis250 were? I'm probably looking at an 06 model, cheaper an almost affordable.

Thanks,

James

I'm always tempted when mine's in for a service, the extra power is nice, fuel economy on the auto is brilliant, and it's handling is a lot better (as standard). However, imo the steering doesn't feel as good as the mk1 IS and the noise of the engine is nice when you jump back in the IS200 (it's a lot quieter in the IS250)

Probably best to have an extended test drive (try and borrow one for a few days) and see how you get on :)

The IS200 is a much better looking car.

Why they never released the 350 here is beyond me.

Both great looking cars imo.........think they didn't bring the 350 in because they literally only sold about 100 IS300s..........agree though, if the 350 was here I would have probably already switched.......

Hey Guys,

Thanks for your reply's.

Now don't get me wrong, I love my lex, that's why I couldn't bear to go to a different marque, but all those extra toys are killing me, and I must have them, Now!

Yes, I must go see about a test drive, I have driven the manual, and others have said the auto is much better, but it was lovely and I really enjoyed it.

Anyway I must stop dreaming and do something about it.

Thanks again guys,

James

do why i did...get down to two dealers and do some hard negotiating playing one off against the other......have it so they are knocking on your door for the business.....then walk away, get back in your IS200 with a renewed vigour and appreciation for your beloved car.......................and spend your money on something else :winky:

in my case it was a bit of this
