Rx400 Servicing Advice

Hello All,

I purchased a second hand Lexus RX400h last summer. Its now due for its 40,000 mile service. I've got quotes from Lexus Hatifield, Edgware, Twickenham and prices varied from £450 to £560. I've never been a fan of dealer servicing and was strongly comtemplating having the service done elsewhere and save mself some money as well !

Firstly, has anyone any experience of any independent garages for servicing their Lexus? Reading around the forums I've see an note on Westfields in Essex.....though I'm willing to travel to go to a good garage, I wanted to see if there was anything closer - in and around London.

Secondly, this car is a hybrid (so I gather more complex?), is there reason I should be going to a dealer because of this?

Any advice/opinions/experiences/recommendations would be highly appreciated.
