Using A Trolley Jack

Recommended Posts

I think I must be doing something wrong. My car isn't even lowered, but I can't seem to get a trolley jack in from the front of the car to the central front jacking point. I can do so from the rear, but then it's difficult to pump the handle because it's so far in. I can't begin to imagine how to manage this when my car is lowered :duh:

Should I be trying to jack it from the side jacking points ? Are these safe to use (i.e. won't damage the underside) with a trolley jack ?

Or should I be trying to use those central jacking points (front suspension member and rear diff), but pushing the jack in from the side of the car instead of the front/back ?

I'm sure this should be straightforward but it feels very difficult :tomato:
