How do I get my wing mirror cover off to replace it, I have searched on the forum but I can't find out how, and I dont wanna just start pulling away at it if i'm risking doing more damage, i've heard theres 2 different types on the IS, mine's a 2000

any help appreciated

on a 2000 model the cover is held on by 2 screws inside, you need to remove the mirror glass to get to the screws

a gentle tug at the bottom of the glass should un-attach the glass from its socket.

later models are easier as they just clip on and off
