Painting Is200 Calipers

Any advice on how to paint my calipers. Would like them red with Lexus decals. Do I use Hamerite paint. Do I have to take the calipers off? Should primer be used first? Where do i get the Lexus decals? Tips and advice would be really really appreciated.

Simple matey, take wheel off clean with de-greaser and wire brush, mask up disk, I used hammerite direct to rust paint, couple of coats, lacquer if you want, decals not sure if anyone on here still does them if not e-bay but someone will tell you if you can get them off here still.

Not red obviously but you get the idea.

I did mine with Hamerite after removing them and cleaning them up with a wire brush about 2 years ago, do not paint the pad slide areas.

The paint has chipped a bit in places but they still look ok.

If you have the money and want a professional finish have a look at this link.

I seem to remember LOC did some stickers but may be wrong.

I haven't done mine yet, but have got some Foliatec paint (which is a two-part epoxy paint specifically for brake calipers, though more expensive than something like Hammerite) ready for the job. I got some curved Lexus decals off eBay, because I thought they'd look better than the straight ones from the LOC store.

i went for these in white for my red calipers, really good quality decals and theyre bigger than some of the others on ebay

also the fact that the decals are curved make them look better on the car imo. i think theyre the same decals from the second post

I saw those when I was looking, but was put off by him trying the old postage rip-off trick, no need to send recorded. :tsktsk:

In order to lower the 'asking' price for the goods, some sellers inflate the postage needed, which isn't refundable should the item be returned as it is not part of the 'price' so they still make money out of it anyway.
