Anyone Been To Santa Pod Recently?

Hey guys.

When I was at the Pod a few months ago, I remember hearing it mentioned that health and safety were blocking up the old shed behind the track - sadly they carried it out so there is now only viewing from the sides.

I am very into my photography and was wondering if anyone here had any little tips on where to set up the camera gear now? I used to love being behind them, but apart from the top of the stands, or the grass on the other sides, where else is there to set up?

I know this is a real shot in the dark, but i've got to rent lenses (which isn't cheap!) to take with me. I don't know if i should rent a big telephoto zoom or a relatively wide angle like I used to.

approach santa pod and ask for a photographer pass

you might be able to get some better positions then

I've contacted them about a pass - they said due to my age, insurance is an issue and would not provide me with one for the Main Event. (Which annoyingly, is one of the very few I'm free to attend.)
