Wipers - Bosch Aerotwin

Recommended Posts

I was after some wipers for my RX so I thought I would do a couple of searches here on the forum to see what everyone else had opted for. Unfortunately didn't find too much info on these types. What do you chaps think of these: Wiperblades.co.uk link

Will these fit?? I've bought a pair of Aerotwins for the IS200 and I think they work fab so was hoping these would fit too. Any help/info would be much appreciated as always.

Ta.

I have them on my car and very happy with the performance & styling though they are possibly due for replacing

(about 18 months old from what I remember now) or at least a healthy dose of vinegar to give them a pep up.

I do know of 2 people who bought the no name copies of the genuine Bosh items from E-bay, they both regretted it as the a blade detatched at high speed for both people. Also I believe one LOC member had them but his ones seemed

quite noisy for some reason ? They are very easy to fit. I can't help as to wether they would fit on the RX as I don't know anything about their wipers arrangement. I think some cars may have issues with cantilever types.

were they quite good on the IS as im looking into buying them soon.

Agree with DJ Wozza. I too found them brilliant! A great deal better than the OEM ones. Cheaper than what Lexus charge too.

Surely there must be someone out there who has fitted these to a RX?? Fitment wise I think i'll see of the ones from the IS will fit and take it from there...

Yep that was me mate, think I had a dud set though as everyone else seems to be happy

Really? How much are wipers on the RX? Technically on the IS the OEM wipers are the cheapest but have found the PIAA silicone ones to be a significant improvement despite costing a lot more.

On the IS200 (I assume its the same on the RX), if you have the OEM wipers fitted, then you can replace the wiper rubbers instead of the whole blade.

I've only used OEM wipers on my IS200 since I've owned it (6 years) and I am more than happy with the OEM wipers.
