Weird Unlocking

Noticed something really weird today, I've got into the habit of locking the doors once I'm in the car (since the carjacking many years ago) and today for probably the first time I did it as soon as I got in and pretty much turned the ignition key at the same time.

Bizarrely the doors instantly unlocked themselves

So I tried it again, and it did it again! Just wondered if anyone else's car does that?

Its a fail safe i think

if the keys are in the ignition but its not started then the doors will not lock so you cant lock your keys inside

car needs to be running

Ahh didn't check that, so it's nothing to do with starting the car straight away, even if I hadn't have started it the car would have unlocked itself again?

I'll have to try that later :)

I lock my doors when I get it, they don't unlock themselves with or without the key in the ignition?
