Headunit Power Problems!

I installed my new headunit the other day with a sub and amp and they are working really good now, however when I turn off my engine and remove the key, each time I start up the car again all my settings have gone back to default, ie: bass, treble etc? Has this happened to anyone else? Could it be something to do with the amp bypass cable? Any help or pointers would be great as always!!

my headunit does this in the astra not show why, cause i just connected it up via ISO, but very annoying.

It's something wrong with the wirings/connections somewhere, the permanent live feed isn't connected up properly.

Try swapping the red and yellow cables around first.

Is it a cheap Japanese stereo off eBay?

My old cheap one used to do the same, you had to turn on the stereo leave it a second, then start the car.

It doesnt seem to like the instant on-off-on.
