Have you only just bought this ? Or have you had it for a while ? If you've only just got it then maybe the engine could have been swapped or rebuilt a while back ?

No point changing the engine for the sake of it if it's still running fine ! Is it giving you any trouble ?

nope it runs really good, im just paranoid about the high miles, i paid 5,400 euro dollars for it

If its running really good then there is no point in changing the engine, wait til/when/if you start having problems.

I've heard of LSs at that mileage but not an IS200 so far, that's very impressive if almost 300k and still going strong! :o :D

Actually the opposite, we're impressed it's got that far and to be honest Lexus engines are pretty bulletproof so if it's been serviced well then there's no reason it should break down anytime soon.

In the UK we don't do such high mileages so it's not normal for us to see that sort of thing, assuming it's roughly a 10 year old car that's around 30k a year which over here doesn't get done a lot!
