Well i sent him a message on eBay asking if he had a pic of the engine bay.

Strangley at ten to two last night e sent me this picture:

GetAttachment07.jpg

Then at 8:37 replied again with the word "no".

Anyway i think the picture proves conclusively its not supercharged.

WE seem to be getting a lot of mohammeds on eBay they are breaking cars as well as selling and from my experience they are not very trustworthy regards there descriptions of the items they are selling.

They also want silly prices for parts from scrap cars I bought an aerial for my GS300 and it did not work allthough he said tested and working, the thing was jammed half way down in the closed position so my experience they are not to be trusted.

Ive been having the same experience.

Lately ive bought a few coil packs "just in case" for the future.

when ive won them for a low price the first guy refused to lower the postage (£6 each!) even though in a previous conversation he had agreed to. His reason was that he didnt make enough on the final price so was making it up with the postage. When they arrived they cost less than £2.50 to send in total!

Though looking through his bids and other items i ended up reporting his to eBay cause he was blatantly shrill bidding from another account.

Another guy claimed he'd suddenly tested them and they were broken when i won them for a low price.

Its an AUCTION site, if you want a set price, start it at that price or put a reserve on it.

Really annoys me.

Reserve price is a stupid option, why not just set the price you want to start at?? Shill bidding is hard to prove, but does happen. Last thing i looked at the seller says the item was a few months old, yet on the photo it's dated 2 Yrs old. When i asked if he's got the reciept and closer image of the item he says he has it and will upload closer image, yet 4 days went by the no upload of new images. I decided not to bid on the item in the end cos i smell a rat.

Ive also kept an eye on sold items, yet they appear again after a few weeks by the same seller, yet no feedbacks given from so called buyer or has the seller left any feedback to the buyer. Thats when you shill bidding is happening.

Theres also the ones that joined yrs ago yet never bought a single item. When i see that i suspect that the original eBay account has been left on a computer that has been sold to someone else and they are taking advantge of the remembered password/username.

THis sellers got another "supercharged" IS200 on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1999-LEXUS-IS200-SUP...3%3A1|294%3A200

Once again no picture of the engine bay and only 150bhp this time.

The front LEDs are awful! though there looks like there may faintly be a intercooler behind the lower grill.

This was his last one: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2000-LEXUS-IS200-SPO...93%3A1|294%3A50

OMG!

I asked the guy for a picture of the engine bay.

He sent me the identical picture to the one he sent me for the last car (little sticker on the fuse box and everything). When i returned the email saying it didnt have a supercharger he replied:

yes it does have a supercharger look with your eyes

my lord what a tit

And so i replied:

I’m sorry mate, but I used to own a supercharged Lexus IS200, and there is no supercharger there.

Maybe you could draw an arrow on the picture to exactly where you think the charger is?

In the meantime please have a look at this picture of my old supercharged engine bay and see if you can spot the glaring difference:

(picture of my old engine bay here)

Looks like a cut and paste write up as well with a few subtle changes here and there, he's clearly only out to make a few extra quid for himself. I feel like creating a dummy account and bombarding him with nasty e-mails. What a c**k!!
