Recommended Posts

hi all

hope some of you might be able to help me!!

i have just bought a 2006 lexus 220d and and i love it to bits!!!!

but there is a whirring noise that coming from the back of the car,the whirr gets faster as the car gets faster, it does not die away when the engine reves are lowered. its dies away when the car gets slower!!

my question is this normal with a lexus 220d, will i just have to get used to it!! or might there be somthing wrong?? otherwise it drives perfectly!!!

cheers for your help

It is definately not normal, especially if the noise comes from the back of the car. The only noise similar I can think of is the Turbo, which makes a whistling noise as the car goes faster... but this is normal and you only hear it with the windows down.
