Drivers Door Adjustment

Hi, can anyone tell how to adjust the drivers door on my 1996 LS400? It doesn't shut as snugly as it should, and I can hear traffic going past through it so the door isnt sealing as well as it could. I have tried to adjust the catch plate on the central pillar, but it only fits in one place. Any advice would be welcome, Paul
