how cleanly do they generally come off, by this I mean what, if any, bonding residue is left behind? any marks on the bodywork where a kit has previously been? if there is, how could this be cleaned?

depends on how they have been put on and how long they have been on

the basic Lexus kit is bolt on and should unbolt easily

but the fitters may have used a bit of bonding here and there, if that is the case then its going to be a right pain , and may involve respraying affected bits or even damage to the bodykit

the original paint will be a different shade behind where the kit has been fitted, dependant on the colour and age
