actros devolped eleccy fault ie tacho stayed on rest woohoo whilst i was driving, speed govener stopped working (again WOOHOO) could do 85mph plus heehee(so i was told whistling.gif0 but most worring was it would apply brakes by its self (gremlins wacko.gif ) which was not funny whilst bombing it down motorway at legal speed of 56mph laugh.gif to suddenly come to a complete halt for no apparent reason oh yeah and gears reversed themselves ie wen trying to select low gear it always put me in highest gear and NO reverse gear at all, problem eventually diagnosed and sorted as a complete fuse box failure due to water damage corroding terminals, recovered from grimsby to merc garage in immingham and all wireing in fuse box ended up with new connectors 36 long hrs later i got on road again

A little birdie told me that a magnet on the digi tach sender on the gearbox may or may not affect the reading causing the RSL not to operate.....!

not for me mate wouldnt chance that vosa are hot on this trick at mo and check this out straight away when lorrys getting pulled over just now, and a life time ban from lgv driving and imprisonment ISNT worth it, foreign driver caught doing over 80mph couple of months ago got jailed for having magnet on gearbox and commisioners are stating life time lgv ban for any driver caught doing this

I drive one of these bad boys part-time when I'm not doing my other job "Guarding the Guardians."

Do you ever deliver to East Coast Storage in King's Lynn?

I work on the same estate as them and I am sure I have seen your company's trucks driving past our sheds.

Redsteve.

More than likely that you have seen them as they have a large fleet of wagons, nowhere near as many as Eddie has though.

I've not been down that way myself.

I mostly deliver to Lancashire,Staffordshire and the Midlands.

Ok.

If you do ever find your way this far south then look out for the green LS outside Cole's and pop in for a coffee.
