Sc430 Discount

Is the SC430 about to be run out, or do they just not sell at all? I just got an email from my dealer offering £15000 off a new SC430, and I'm sure with a bit of haggling you could get a bit more off bringing the price down to an eye-opening £40k........ :o

Not sure what it will do to residuals of used cars, but it's still a great buy!

I think £40 grand is were the car should of been in the first place.

You can buy them for £40 grand with delivery miles on now.

It is a great second hand car but i could not justify buying one new, come to think of it any car at £40,000 would be over what i would buy.

I notice over the past few weeks pistolheads have any couple of 2002 for £20,000 that far to much for that year of car

When I bought my IS in 2002, I think the list on an SC430 was £50k, and over the last 7 years it has crept to £63k..........

I guess it was partly the profile of the Lexus brand rising, and also the price of the other vehicles has risen.........an IS250 can now cost £35k and a GS almost £50k, so wouldn't make sense if the SC was at the same price point.

Perhaps the problem now is just that they can't sell what is now quite outdated compared to cars like the SL so they need to drop the price - wonder how far they'd drop the price if you got into a serious haggling contest with a dealer :whistling:

Are you interested then?

Might be, I was waiting for the IS-F used prices to drop a bit but this is an interesting idea too.........will have to give it some thought :whistling:

As I suspected it's not as clear cut as I thought, yes it's £15k off but just one car, don't know the details but I guess it must be a cancelled order or something that they're trying to get rid of.

Sounds good mate, still a great buy i would have the SC before IS-F ONLY because of the roof.

Have to say if they do bring out an IS350C that is also a tempting prospect.........IS-F prices are falling nicely though, will keep an eye on them as it's still a bit more than I'd want to pay for an IS.........

Looks like it might be discontinued now then, it's no longer on the website.........don't think the SC was ever a big seller, so with the arrival of the IS250C no real point of offering the SC.

If it helps, a couple weeks back Lexus Leicester had a few going for around £40k...

That sounds the same then - clearly just getting rid of any new cars they had left before removing it from the line up.
