Sounds like it's rubbing against the arches.

Have you lowered it recently, or maybe the spring/damper has given way and it's lop-sided.

Full lock it to the right and have a look to see if it is hitting the arch.

its been lowered for a long time now, doesnt look like its hitting the arch, i have a feeling its the spring/damper
