New Brakes, Mintex? From Ebay?

Long time since i post it anything on the forum, but I was wondering if anyone had bought any brakes pads recently from eBay. There is some MINTEX one on sale. Any other ideas will be well accepted.

That link seems to be just for pads, but I must say I'm highly dubious about discs that are so cheap, e.g. there are sets of front discs/pads for just £45 or so. That just seems "too cheap" to me.

When i bought disc and pad sets they came to about £100 for each end with both mintex discs & mintex pads. All 1st Gen IS use the same pads and discs btw

why not try these mate 40 groove front and rear disks and ebc pads all for £199 item number 160305284270 would look good behind any alloy!! B) B)

When I was searching for past postings about brake pads recently, I found quite a lot of people who weren't happy with EBC pads.

I bought some Mintex Front Discs & Pads like a year or so ago from eBay think they were around the £80 mark, literally had them fitted last week as need them for the MOT so shall report back if there any good. But cant see them being any worse then my old ones that were on the way out clearly..lol

I bought some mintex front pads off eBay not so long ago. The only complaint I have is that they squeal under light to medium braking.

However the performance of the pads are good in my opinion.

Especially annoying at night time trying to park quietly on the drive. Might put the OEM ones back in if the squeal does not go away very soon.

Tried a couple of time to stop this by using copper grease but no luck.

i bought mintex front and back for 40 including shipping in eBay -sop just look for it..then have someone did it for me for 40--lazy to do and get dirty (excuses)

Seem Fine Ormi, not done many miles, but nice and smooth and nice and quiet so far.
