I understand that, but will the shipment just be UK or stop off at other countries on its way here, 2 months seems a long time if shipment is UK only

I ordered my IS220d SE-I in February and had a call this week saying that my car is now in transit, arriving at the dealership on 10 July. The computer showed "In Build" last month. Make of that what you will.

With less cars being sold generally it will take longer to get a ships-worth of cars assembled, so the delivery times could get longer. Your car is probably sitting in a compound in Japan and will be there until July when it gets on the ship. It'll also need some time in the UK to get PDI'd etc.

...been told the car was being delivered to the dealership on 14 Aug 2009...

I'd be tempted to ask the Dealer to register the car in September for the new plate (if possible).

Hello

Dont they look like a nice couple on the drive

The Boat will not be just coming to the UK it will probably stop at south Africa

or some where on route, then dock at Southampton or some go in to Bristol

the company i work for place stock orders with TOYOTA dealers in Japan for Forklift Parts

and they always take 8-12 weeks to deliver

Thanks for your reply Matt, when ordered the dealership did say 9 weeks delivery, I was just a little shocked to find out when it will be here, my car I use for work is a Focus ST and has now done over 90k and its feeling tired and loose, looking forward to getting it. Will wait for new plate now 1st Sept.
