Hi everyone, just wondering does it make a difference to reset the ecu when

replacing the oem air filter with a K&N panel filter. If so how do you do it??

yes it will make a difference matey the k&n is a free flowing filter re-setting your ecu will let the car re-learn the air fuel mixture.

you remove two fuse's or disconnect the Battery.

Two fuses you remove are:

take out 20/25amp efi fuse

take out 15amp etcs fuse

for 30 secs

If i'm correct, even if u dont reset the ecu after changing to a K&N, the car will still alter the air/fuel mixture accordingly but will just take a bit longer. I put a K&N filter in mine the other week but havent reset the ecu but I think that it has helped with the response of the car.

No harm in resetting the ECU- in fact most people recommend resetting the ECU after installing a K&N filter/performance filter.

Yep any engine change you make it's bet to reset the ECU for the changes to be learnt much quicker - this also applies of you change from regularaly using 95RON to higher grade petrol.
