no, it's not for me - it's for the missus.

and no it's not really "new" it's got 80k on the clock.

52 reg Volvo v70 T5

now, those of you not too clued up on ovlov's will be going "yawn - he got a swedish tank for the family - so what" but those of you in the know will recognise the importance of those two digits at the end: T5.

2.4ltr turbo, 250bhp stock and limited to 155mph. It's what all the cops used to drive.

There's something extremely strange and wonderful about a 2 tonne massive car with armchair like seats going very very fast.

It's genuinely shocking and quite wonderful :)

Get it next week so no pics as yet but already been looking around for inspiration.

I think this is quite tasty....

I'm almost jealous of the wife! :o

Are you getting the one in the pic, or was that just an example? (as that looks lovely)

Do like the T5s, but they have crazy turbo lag (don't know if that's improved with the latest cars though)

I wish I was getting that one but no that's just inspiration for potential cosmetic mods.

Turbo lag wasn't actually too bad - and when it kicks in, you get properly shoved back into those comfy arm chairs.

Nice, the fact that they also use the same engines in the focus ST and stuff means they must be pretty good - and yep Volvo seats are imho the most comfortable seats in any car :)

I do like them though, nice cars and practical too. Might have to replace the IS with one if have another kid. Or an XC90!

Indeed - R is 300bhp T5 is 250.

Although a chip'n'map can get the T5 very close to 300 allegedly.... :whistling:
