Audio Turns Off And All Cds Eject

Recommended Posts

Had this problem a couple of times in the last 2 weeks - both times in very hot weather:

Got in the car, drove off with the radio turned on and playing normally. Suddenly, the radio goes off on it own (the MM display shows 'Audio Off'). Then all 6 CDs in the CD changer eject themselves, one after another. Any ideas? And why would it only happen in hot weather or is that a coincidence?

Don't know. It would be funny if it wasn't so potentially serious as it could very distracting. Hope you get it fixed easily as it is an intermitent fault.

In the recent heatwave my CD player has been skipping when playing CD's. My CD player is ok in the cold, but I think the heatwave has been causing problems. My car is a IS200, though I have not had a ERR1 message.

My headunit was replaced under warranty a few years ago- it ERR3'd. I've bought a Grom ipod unit, so I won't be using the CD player for much longer.

Not had all 6 eject but today the MM went to "Audio Off" and ejected the CD I was playing at the time - it wasn't particularly hot though. Not good.

Just happened again today... took the CD it ejected out and it tried to spew out the next one... is anyone else seeing this?
