I have a 2000 model GS300 Sport with the original Sport Rims, 18" and I believe 8 Inches in width !! and i also believe these standard Sport Wheels have an Offset of ET45 !!

Now then..I have Gone a bought some real nice 18" Wolfrace wheels, Staggered, 8.5" Front and 9.5" Rears........NO Problem i thought as they were advertised for the GS300 range up to 2002 !!

However, they are ET30 Offset !!........Now I know there seems to be a fair bit of room under the arches of the Sport (certainly looks to be!)

But, Having done some calculations with the help of this site..http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp

....The 9.5" rears i have bought, are going to stick out an extra 34mm :o .................my tape measure tells me this is going to be Very Close, in fact i feel they may contact the Arch on compression (my only saving grace is the suspension may not compress enough to touch the tyres!)

I am Fitting the original size 245x40x18 P Zero tyres.

I am confident the 8.5" Fronts will be OK !

>>>My Question is......Has Anyone Fitted Wheels (of any size) that are really pushing out into the arches with really LOW Offset's ??

......Getting concerned i may have dropped a clanger :crybaby:

Ps. Can anyone also confirm that the Original 'Sport' GS300 Mk2 Wheels Offset is 'ET45'

Thanks, in advance, Phil.

Well!.............as often happens on this Forum.......I have answered my own Question :whistling:

The 9.5" Rears with the 30 Offset were sticking out an extra 36mm from the Standard GS300 'Sport' Wheels.. They were to Close for comfort to the Arch for my liking!!!,,I feel they would of hit the Wheel Arch when going over speed humps or having passengers in the rear!......So...I decided to Exchange them for 8.5" Rims (therefore sacrificing the Staggered set-up for 18" x 8.5" Allround.)

Nice wheels.

Are they pictures of the 8.5" or the 9.5" rears?

Thanks for the Comments Guys :)

Sorry! Forgot to mention that the Pic's are with the 8.5" Rears......................Me Thinks that even though the wheels stick out a further 26mm or so, The car looks as though it could do with Lowering a further 20-30mm!!

...Anyone any ideas of what Lowering springs are available for the 'Sport' Model???..........Bearing in mind that the 'Sport ' is Lowered already from the Original standard GS !

..Dont really want to go for coilovers, unless the price is right!

Thanks, in advance, Phil.
