Will they require any other work to fit, like shocks? How easy are they to fit yourself?

I'm thinking coilovers might be more flexible for adjusting height wouldn't they?

Sorry for the delay in responding to this note. Wanted to check with the Insurance beforehand. DIG are brilliant, they classed this modification as 'cosmetic', which equals to 'no additional charge'

Can you add one set of springs for me please :P

Thanks Gordon :)

DIG won't charge a single penny for anything that they class as cosmetic.

They have accepted my tints, front grill, rear spoiler and now the springs as well with no additional penalty.

How cool is that B)

Ian, go for a DIG quote when you're due for renewal. You know it makes sense :)

Sorry... :offtopic:

Why tell the insurance Co?

Are they that bad now?...never used to be.

why? because you want a pay out if your car is written off, and don't want them to use anything such as having mods not declared against your case.......

OK..so

Just in theory.........

Say you sold your motor and it looked stock...but had new springs on it.

The new owner (not knowing this) insures the car as stock.....

and was then involved in an incident........

Something like this happened to me a few.......(ok 96) years back. The car had alloys but the insurers still payed out. they were an option, on the car but not standard.

I guess the same could be said of the lexus sport grille.

Anyway i think you get where im going......

Aha Bobski...

The fatal "i didn't know".

The insurance may give you the benifit of doubt, but on a car less than 5 years old, don't hold your breath.

Remember, insurance companies do not want to pay out if they can find a reason not too.

And lowering your car is not an option, it is an aftermarket modification, and I very much doubt you'd get away with "i didnt know"..
