Back In The Fold, Got Myself Another Ls400

Recommended Posts

I used to have a 1995 LS400, i have now bought a really immaculate 96 LS400 with 66,000 miles on the clock and 100% genuine. This car is seriously immaculate condition, full history, all the old MOT,s. Drives like a new car. I paid just over 2000 pounds., and it is the mid green colour with cream leather interior. After being away from these cars for a while you can really appreciate just how good they are. What a ride ....

Any recommendations on where to bring it for servicing in London?

Cheers

Ah thanks for that, I thought it was 90k :whistling:

Mine are due then. Any tips on the best ones to use. The ones in it now are Denso.

I want to change my plugs as well, so far I only know about Denso, so I too would welcome input on plugs as I know nothing of any of the others, if Denso is highly rated and others not is there any reason for that specific to LS 400?, Thanks anyone.

Hi nippon denso(toyota) or ngk iridiums are fine, for the 60k service they recommend distributor caps & rotor arms be changed aswell. ( I would check & clean them if they look to be OK).

Thanks Mark,

I've looked into the Denso ones and am not sure what to get (see below)

LS 400 - 4.0 i V-8 32V (UCF20) 194 1UZ-FE 10/'94-08/'96 PK20R8 IK20 VK20Y 0,8 (gap)

LS 400 - 4.0 i V-8 32V (UCF20) 194 1UZ-FE 08/'96-07/'97 PK20R11 IK20 VK20 1,1 (gap)

My Ls is from 01 august 1996..lol

I would say the earlier ones, is it date of manufacture or date registered, they seem to be the same plugs just a different pre set gap.
