Navigation System Update

Can somebody tell me if there is a cheaper way to update my navigation system. It is a 2001 model and the cd is 8 years old. The only qoute I got was from Lexus for 200 pounds. That is more than a top of the range new navigator and updated maps.

Would the updated disc offer anything over updated maps? Is the functionality the same i.e. the user interface is hard coded into the system.

I agree about the cost - my older TomTom has a better user interface, postcode lookup etc

I'd suggest you phone various Lexus dealers around to see if they sell the disc cheaper than your nearest one. Then they might even be able to post it to you if they sell it cheaper. I'd expect the price of the discs to be around £140.00, not £200 pounds!! These stealerships man... I tell you, ARGH!!
