hi, could i have opinions please on why my drivers side front tyre is worn on the inside. the 3 inches or so innermost are bald and the rest is ok. would it be a wishbone or something.

all other tyres are ok.

i assume im looking at an repair bill.

Could be tracking out. lower ball joint or upper wishbone ( normally wear on outer edge though) I would get the tracking looked at first ( unless you have any obvious creaks or knocks from the suspension)

Do you regularly have to straddle one of those wide speed bumps ?

Oh yes, get the tracking examoned and reset.

Mine was doing similait and wearing the out side edges.

I used Wheels in Motion

http://www.wheels-inmotion.co.uk/steeringgeometry.php

they have the hawkeye system and I had the front and rear measured, and adjusted, for £95.

Some of the settings were well out.

I have the geometry spec for 1955 MK-III cars if you need it.

Remember that everytime you hit a big bump, pot hole or kerk, it could get out of alignement.

Can we have a whip-round and get you a proof reader ?
