Well that depends...

Are you over 50? If yes, then there are specialist insurers (Saga) who only insure people aged 50+

Do you have 4 or more years NCD? If yes, then there are insurance companies such as Esure only insure people with 4 or more years NCD.

Hope this helps.

Hi all. Who is the cheapest Insurance to Insure my Lexus ls 400 with,,,,Thanks Roy.

There are just too many unknown factors: age, NCD, where the car is parked, etc. I thought the company which had insured my VW for the past 10 years (no claims) would do it but they actually refused as it is parked on the street and doesn't have a Tracker device fitted. I ended up with Tesco, Clubcard points, a £40 voucher and the best quote I could get so the only useful advice is shop around.

Good luck and don't get discouraged!

I've got my LS400 and cadillac insured through Adrian Flux ( Tel: 0844 8888 701 ).

Every year at renewal I get quotes from other companies but for the past 6 years Adrian Flux have always been cheapest for me.

Probably depends a lot on your age/occupation etc so might not be cheapest for you but well worth a call.

I'm 24 years old and drive an imported celsior...

most insurers would not touch me as the car was imported but I found Adrian Flux to give me the best quote (about £400 for the year)

Hooray another Celsior owner

privaledge for me too. i phoned everywhere, think i could get about £25 cheaper tpft but paid £299 fully comp with them. 37 years old 1 sp30 full ncb(9years+) no accidents, 1997 ls 400 value £2k. live in mr average area, parked on drive, no extra security.

owned the car about 5 years and i think thats the most i've ever paid......absoloute rip off as far as i'm concerned.

p.s. flux could get anywhere near. they sad if it was a bit older it would be better, still to new lol

Looks like the original 'poster' has gone.

I was a member of another forum, these type of questions were asked very often, usually by teenagers dreaming of a car that they could never afford to insure. There are so many comparison sites now that the answer only takes 10 mins to find out.

As I've just bought my LS400 I found Direct Line the cheapest. As I'm 34 I thought there quote was very good compared to others. £264.00 fully comp! Will try SKY when it's renual time

see, how does that happen? i'm the perfect client in the eyes of insurers, i phone everywhere then someone younger gets a cheaper quote!

bloody annoying conning insurance companys! and mine is about 3k miles a year!

Apparently I live in an area with one of the best insurance rates....or so i'm told. Full no claims and kept in a locked garage-most the time. I don't think there is any rhyme or reason for insurance quotes. It's like booking a flight-one minute it's 29.00, click again its 167.00!! then add on every concievable extra like wanting to take a pee on the plane and its trippled in cost....little off the subject but just another area we all get robbed of our hard earned money!!

I really need to move :( ,age 44 with 9 years ncb clean license, car in drive & a hgv driving instructor, £440 fully comp protected mind you IG1 is the second most exspensive post code next to Liverpool center & some companies wont even entertain it. The most exspensive quote was £1800 though.

thats because you have 'driving' in your job title.

if there were such a job title as hgv instructor it would likely be cheaper.

i'm a crane driver but always put my title down as crane operator.

because you drive(driving) for a living you are more likely to crash(law of averages) so your rate goes up. its stupid, i and you drive some of the largest vehicles on the roads proffesionally and yet we are charged more to insure our small cars! lol. mines rigid,18meters long,3meters wide and is 90+tons all 7 axles steer and is left hand drive!! and that makes me more of a risk in my car? go figure?

as you may have guessed i hate insurance companys!

they dont half vary these insurance scams..errr companies sorry....

locked garage, approved alarm/imm, less than 7k a year (if you dont commute to work :whistling: , its cheaper still), if you do say you travel to work, then say its not at peak times, etc

there are endless ways to reduce the policy price. I got my tips off moneysupermarket.com, the original and only comparison site i use (b'cos of these tips i found)

Insurance is almost legal fraud..my mate got 2.5k for his written off van when it was valued at 6k by the companies own pricing site...disgraceful

Im not condoning any fibs whatsoever......but they will rip you off, so tit for tat i say
