Lights On Instrument Cluster.....

Recommended Posts

Hi Guys..... I have just picked up a 1999 IS200 Se (so this is also a newbie saying hi...)

Apart from the viewing, driving and do the deal, i have not really spent any time with the car, that will come tomorrow when she gets a full spiv, and i have a laugh (I would guess) at how lame the navigation in...lol

However strait off the bat, i have a bulb out on the dash that lights the latter part of the rev counter (where it meets the speedo).... Any ideas if its easy to remove the cluster and change the bulb? Am i liely to find the type of bulb needed at my local Halfords?

Thanks in advance.......

Richard.

simple enough job, from memory i think there is two screws near the top of the clock surround and one near the ignition, disconnect wire from switch near ignition, the one that dims the instrument panel, remove clock surround.

couple of more screws holding the clock in. remove these. pull the clocks out a small bit so u can get your hand around the back to unplug the wires, now clocks are free to remove and bobs your uncle.

don't know if Halfords do the bulbs or not but they should be around £3 or £4 of a lexus main dealer.
