Woofer Makes ''boom'' Sound

sup guys!

the thing is... i installed a woofer using a cheap hi to low converter and now each time i start the car i hear a short but quite loud bump/boom/bass from my sub. it also happens when i switch over tuner/tape/cd and on/off.

+12v is straight from Battery, GND is to the body, and acc/rem wire is connected to navigation computers acc wire.

i think it could be because the radion switches off stock amp every time function is changed to ensure a quiet operation and this switching could cause my problem? or could it be my lcc converter box?

Sounds like a voltage spike is getting through your RCA converters, try another set??
