No Alarm Siren Gs300 Mk1

Hi, i i have just bought a 97 GS300 Sport and found that when the alarm goes off only the hazards flash. There is no sound!! Also when arming/dis-arming the alarm there is also no sound. Is this a case of a fuse gone or something else. Any ideas welcome... Cheers.

When locking & unlocking, which arms and disarms the alarm, there should be no sound. Just the flashing hazzard lights and the sound of your locks. As for the actual siren, this should work when the alarm goes off. Mine does and its damn loud. Perhaps a good auto electrician could replace your faulty "siren" for you. Thanks for the reply and the welcome to the club. Will post some pics asap.

Any idea where the siren is located as i could do some fault finding myself, before spending out too much money for what could be a loose wire etc, cheers.

UPDATE... I found an old thread explaining where it is... behind the off side front wheel midway to the fog light apparently?? Will check it out asap. Hope to fix it some time today maybe..
