The Torch In The Boot Toolkit

Recommended Posts

Just got the torch out of the boot toolkit and the batteries were badly corroded. Make sure you replace the batteries occasionally to stop this happening! I'd suggest maybe once a year would be a good schedule.

Good reminder - I checked mine the other month and although the batteries were not in the torch and still wrapped up in plastic, their use by date was a few years ago. They hadn't leaked which was good but I've had batteries still in date and they have leaked.

One of the previous owners nicked my torch, anyone know if a 2 cell AA maglite will fit in the box?

Mine was too!!!! :msn-cry: but got £250.00 of the asking price because of it :whistling: So I got one of those single AA LED torches and it fits fine, the only thing is there is no space in the toolkit for the locking wheel nut tool.
