A big moving light that lasted for about 1 minute or so!

If you belive it's shopped take a Look at www.vg.no With google translate or something. VG is Norways biggest newspaper.

It was about 15 times the diameter of the moon in size. It may look like it's beeing projected but seriously They saw it in half of my country!

It really isn't! At first when i saw it i tought it was being projected form somewhere but after 10 seconds or so i realized that it wasn't. Terrifying and beautiful at the same time. No expert know what it is. It can't be comet because it sits still to long

Video here

Quality isn't that great but it wil do for now

Wow that is some sight! If true, that's incredible, keep us posted on any further info :)

Mail on line picked it up, concensus appears to be a failed rocket launch from Russia over the Barents Sea.

Here's a vid of a known rocket creating a similar effect, but not so spectacular.

OK starting to believe more. Rocket does sound like best theory.

Seeing the blue spiral coming up from the ground I would be inclined to think it's from a laser and the pattern is on the clouds, but I'm no expert ;)

The main problem is that i guess i would require a 9000000000kW bulb to project it as it was seen 1000 km longer south also.

And there where no skies this morning :) (usually isn't when its -10°C)

Russian ballistic missile is the best explanation for sure :)

But still an a amazing display of light
