I am thinking of getting my bonnet resprayed (on is200). Anyone had it done recently as I was wondering how much it would cost....also any recommendations in the the Cheshire area??

i have had most of my car resprayed due to vandalism, this also included bonnet but the price i paid was including other parts of the car. i think a bonnet repspray should cost about £100 from a good bodyshop.

WOW, i think you would be lucky just to get the paint for that price never mind the labour in getting it done!!! long time since i was in the trade so i may be wrong.

If its just stone chips you need sprayed out bananaman you could have a go at doing some of the prep work yourself???? dont know how DIY you are????? and ask the body shop not to do the t-cut, Polisher work on it afterwards, this you could do yourself at a later stage once the paint is nice n hard, that could save a couple of hours of labour aswell.

Hi ,yes I think you are being optimistic with £100 the paint and laquer is very expensive I recently had a rear bumper painted top job cost £300 hope you can do better but be careful on cheap paint jobs ,the secret is in the preparation and to do it properly takes time.

My Silver 200 was resparayed due to vandels and paint peeled around the washer jets, not a good job.

i'm having the rear quarter panel done on mine in two weeks, and the guy quoted me 100 quid for the job, and 30 quid for the little plastic stone chip guard thing below the rear door. he also said the bumpers would be 130 quid each. so a bonnet i would think would be between 150 and 200. lexus quoted me 900 for the rear quarter and 500 forthe bumper, so it can well vary depending on where you go lol

Depends where in Cheshire you are but, Paint Autocraft in Runcorn is highly recommended

depends,,,,,really big bonnet.....usually have to blend colour onto top off wings etc..so theres no shadin difference £300 sounds alright.....basecoat £40 a litre and a laquer pack £23 .so a £100 all for materials before you start....i hate paintin bonnets....its the focal point off the car really
