Lex Alloy Tax Disc Holder

Recommended Posts

hello all-just retaxed the car and went to put the disc in the lexus alloy tax disk holder and it doesnt appear to want to turn at the back to allow easy changing-i do not really want to end up reglueing it on etc so i thought it may be worth an ask on here - do you have to undo all the little allen key bolts or should it twist off ?

You have to undo the little allen key bolts mate. Just loosen the last one and spin it round so it's easier to put back on. :winky:

crikey what a pollava !! if only they built the front suspension with as much solidness we,d all be laughing-cheers tommy-i guess its a kind of anti theft thing maybe then ? i guess they just rip your whole tax disk holder our in case of theft - did they all come with these holders or is it somwthing from the lex shop ? - ive had similar looking ones before but never with real allen key bolts

I have two of these, one on my Lex and one on my wifes Yaris T-Sport, her's has TOYOTA on of corse.

I bought them both from the same supplier on eBay. Mine I bought first and you have to undo the allen screws but by the time I got round to buying my wifes one they had developed a twist on off type. The twist on off type is easier to change the disc but I've found that the screw heads on the inside will never line up with the outside so you either have to have one or the other slightly ascue, which always anoyes me.

For that reason I prefer mine, even if it is a bugger to change the disc.
