hi all.new to this and first time posting but all help will be greatly appreciated.

my own stupidity is why im asking for help.i have a 2002 is 200 se.over the last month or so the Battery has been dying on me,and today when i went to start it,nothing.not a thing so decided i`ve put this off long enough, time to get a Battery.so to get to the suppliers i obviously had to jump it.this is where the problem begins!

I connected the leads as per usual and was surprised when they started sparking,so i double checked that i had connected them properly.i had.so i thought.problem is im colour blind and thought red was going to red but it was`nt.tri3d starting it.turned over, but nothing.tried again, the same.third time, nothing.absolutly nothing.knew something was wrong straight away.so anyway got to the bottom of it eventually, got a new Battery, checked the fuse box next to the Battery and 3 fuses were gone so changed them, and alas the car started.but this is the problem.now the lights dont work, well when i say dont work, the spots dont or the auto, indicators dont work but hazards do,wipers dont work, inside illumination of the dials dont work, heated seats, traction radio nothing.

Im at a total loss guys, have i done some serious damage?as i said any help would be greatly appreciated.thanks for listening to my long winded story.

Awaiting your reply.

AS ABOVE ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

check two chunky fusible links on far left of fusebox under bonnet and all fuses there and in other two footwell fuseboxes

Someone doen this recently on the Lotus forums, and he ended up frying the ECU...

He had similar problems with some electrics working, and others not so could be bad news...?

May be worth taking it to a decent independant and seeing what they say!

Hope its an easy fix none the less,

Bruce
