Hi Folks,

I recently purchased a service kit for my IS200 and it included a can of "Toyota Airco Cleaner".

I understand its to kill bacteria and such in the aircon system but it doesnt have any instructions on how to use it.

It has a long tube so I know I'm spraying it somewhere

Anybody used it before offer a quick guide??

Thanks

Richi

The tube goes into the vent in the dash, however, apparently your not supposed to use this type (with the tube) on the IS200, not sure why but have read it here before, you need to get the 'bomb' types that you leave on the floor in the back of the car......i did this recently, got it from Halfords......here

If anyone is considering buying the aerosol AC type cleaner Aldi are doing one starting on Monday April 5th for just £1.99, it goes pretty quick normally and probably faster than ever now I've told all members!!!!

Remove the cabin filter, insert tube of the can and tape up the opening with duct tape, switch on engine and air con set fan to low, spray the contents of the can into the air flow so that it is blown on to the evaporator, switch off engine and refit the pollen filter, perhaps with a new one.. job done.

Spraying into the outlet vents cleans nothing at all....
