Help! Navigation Box In The Boot

Hi agian,

I have an imported LS400 (Celsior)....My nav box in the boot is very different from the old one thati had at home...

I always thought that the nav box has a CD/DVD init.

can anyone tell me what the other box is that's attached to it....

this is the one I had at home..

and this is the one that was in my car..where is the cd?? and what's that dark grey box attached to it? thanks

Odd. I'm not seeing a slot in the black box for a hard drive. The navigation ECU on U.S. models has a slot for an replaceable hard drive in the same place that U.K. models have a slot for a replaceable CD.

Maybe the Celsior navigation ECU doesn't have a replaceable hard drive. Based on the connectors, the black box looks more like the computer for the Japanese market traffic information system. Does it have part number 86931-40010 on it? If not, provide a part number and I will look it up.
